Inspired by the tropical blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. I was snorkeling in Papua New Guinea and took a photo, which represented serenity and quiet to me, for years. This painting was an effort to capture that feeling through a meditative process of repetitive squares which were soothing to create. How does this piece make you feel? What memory or mood does it awaken in you? What room in your home needs an emmitor for that emotion every day?
