I call this image Rainier, not Tahoma, because that name, like this view, is the one I grew up on. While my home life was never stable, the mountain remained unchanging. It was always beautiful, always steadfast.

The combination of wildly swirling colors and the crisp edge of the skyline combine a sense of freedom with a sense of calm. Isn't this the feeling we strive for when we hike? Freedom and Serenity?
