Rugged Symmetry

24x24 acrylic on canvas. Born from a photograph taken during a mountain excursion in 2015, this painting took 10 years to come to fruition.

At the time of the photo, my life was in chaos, and the apparent balance created in such a wild landscape evoked a sense of divine provision or sovereignty. When I finally painted it, my life had gone through multiple stages of stability and more chaos. Now it brings a sense of calm to a collector in the PNW.
